Advanced Obedience — Level 1
For dogs 7 months and up| Maximum 4 dogs
Ready to take your dog’s training beyond the basics?
Our Advanced Obedience – Level 1 course is designed for dogs who already have some foundation skills and are ready to build reliability, focus, and control around real-world distractions. This course focuses on strengthening obedience through duration, distance, and distraction, helping your dog respond more consistently when it matters most.
Over three weekly 60-minute sessions, you and your dog will work on:
Improving handler focus around increasing distractions
Building duration and distance in stationary behaviours (such as sit, down, and settle)
Strengthening calm, thoughtful responses rather than rushed or impulsive behaviour
Developing clearer communication using force-free, reward-based training principles
Classes are limited to just four dogs, allowing for individual coaching while still benefiting from a controlled group environment.
This course is ideal as the next step after basic obedience or puppy training. Dogs must be comfortable working in a group setting and not display reactive behaviour (reactive dogs are better supported through private training or or reactivity group workshop).
Advanced Obedience – Level 1 lays the groundwork for future progress, with a Level 2 course available at a later date for teams ready to advance even further.
Advanced Recall
For dogs 7 months and up| Maximum 4 dogs
Recall is one of the most important — and most challenging — skills a dog can learn.
Our Advanced Recall course is designed for dogs who already have a recall cue and are ready to strengthen it around real-world distractions, using safe, structured, and force-free training methods.
This three-week course focuses on building a reliable everyday recall, starting with strong foundations and progressing carefully as each dog is ready.
Over three weekly 60-minute sessions, we will:
Begin recall work on lead, progressing to long lines, and off-lead where appropriate
Gradually introduce distractions, starting with other dogs in a controlled warehouse environment
Progress to real-world locations such as parks or off-lead dog areas (e.g. beach), when safe and suitable
Strengthen recall through thoughtful reinforcement, clarity, and repetition — not pressure or punishment
This course uses force-free, reward-based training and prioritises safety at every stage. While recall reliability will improve, it’s important to understand that no dog becomes “bomb-proof” in three weeks. Management, appropriate lead use, and ongoing practice remain essential parts of responsible dog ownership.
Classes are limited to four dogs, allowing for individual coaching and controlled setups.
Important information:
Dogs must already have a recall cue
This course is not suitable for reactive dogs
All equipment will be provided in Week 1
In Weeks 2 and 3, clients will be guided on selecting and bringing appropriate high-value reinforcement
This course is a stand-alone program and is separate from our Advanced Obedience pathway.
Reactivity Foundations Course
For dogs 7 months and up| Maximum 3 dogs
Living with a reactive dog can be challenging — and you’re not alone.
Our Reactivity Foundations Course supports dogs and handlers working through all types and levels of reactivity in a safe, structured, and force-free environment. The focus is on helping dogs feel safer while giving handlers practical management and behaviour modification tools.
This three-week course runs for 60 minutes per session and is limited to just three dogs to ensure careful setups, increased distance, and individual support.
Throughout the course, we will:
Work fully on leash using secure leads and collars or harnesses
Begin indoors and gradually progress outdoors and toward triggers
Address a range of triggers including dogs, people, and environments
Teach both management strategies and behaviour modification skills
This course is not a quick fix, but it is a supportive and effective starting point for teams beginning their reactivity journey.
Important information:
Dogs must be on a secure lead with a collar or harness
Advanced Skills Course
For dogs 1 year and up | Maximum 4 dogs
Take your dog’s training to the next level with our fun and engaging Advanced Skills Course! Over three weekly 60-minute sessions, dogs will learn tricks and agility behaviours using a hand target as a foundation to guide them where we want them to go.
This small-group course (maximum four dogs) ensures plenty of individual attention, with sessions coach-led but also allowing dogs and handlers to practice at their own pace.
Training takes place indoors and outdoors, and all equipment is provided — no prior experience is required, though a basic foundation of obedience is recommended.
This course is perfect for dogs who love to learn, enjoy mental and physical challenges, and want to have fun while building focus, confidence, and coordination in a positive, force-free environment.
